LOOKING BACK – Taming the Leaper – Aquaculture in 1980s

There are lots of opinions about aquaculture today, but way back when the first site was tried out in the Bay of Fundy over 40 years ago, it’s success was thought to have all sorts of potentially positive benefits that would benefit local communities and help wild salmon survive. Read all about it in Dr. John Anderson’s “Taming the Leaper” printed in The Atlantic Salmon Journal in 1984.

Dr. John M . Anderson was the Director of the Atlantic Salmon Research Centre in St. Andrews when this was written.
